Cathay’s Betsy and Niki

I am currently reading “The Amazing Adventures of Betsy and Niki” by Captain Charles ‘Chic’ Eather. The book is a must-read for aviation enthusiasts. From the annals of aviation history, the author presents the memorable account of two aircraft “Betsy” and “Niki”, representing the first fleet of Cathay Pacific Airways. Originally built as the C-47 Skytrain war planes, the duo were reborn as civilian aircraft after the global conflicts ended.

Chic has tried to really portray an honest, candid view of the early days in the airline’s history. He has managed to inject the right balance of humour both on and off the ground with his excellent recollection of the incidents. A pretty good read.
